Background
Laszlo Systems, the developer of the Laszlo
Presentation Server (LPS), approached us to develop an on-line
store demo using the Laszlo components that we developed and their
latest version of the LPS 2.0. Laszlo is the premier developer of
RIA tools and we partnered with them in October 2002.
Solution
Created a better online shopping experience by mimicking the experience
of going into a "brick and mortar" store.
To showcase the Laszlo technology we created an application where:
- Screen refreshes are eliminated.
- Users can Drag & Drop products into their shopping cart.
- Customize view with price and age sliders, and categories for
best results.
- More products visible "above the fold".
Results
- RIA development leader
The Kids store has been an excellent lead generator for companies
interested in RIA for both Alex Systems and Laszlo Systems.
